You will work in the Sabena – Aerospace offices at the airport of Zaventem.
You negotiate and draft general commercial agreements relating to the activities of the company in order to protect the position of the company and reduce potential liabilities. The negotiation and drafts of other contracts may be required.
You will manage various insurance policies for the company and act as a contact person for the global insurance policies arranged trough the company. Furthermore you will manage the claims under the insurance policies from a legal and internal process point of view in order to ensure that all losses are fully recovered from the insurance.
You will assist management in legal matters (including corporate) and keep management aware of all legal developments in order to enable them to take the right decisions and to adopt the right strategy for the company. This includes the development and implementation of company policies in line with legislation changes and best practices.
You will handle the legal and administrative secretariat of the company’s Board of Directors, the company’s General Assembly, and the management bodies both at the company’s and the group’s level, including subsidiaries.
You have a Master degree in (corporate)law
5 to 10 years professional experience in an international law firm or in the legal department of an international organization or company
Knowledge of the business levers, processes and structures
Good knowledge in social law is an asset
Substantial experience in the air transportation and maintenance industry is an asset.
Good knowledge of general commercial and corporate law.
Fair knowledge of Insurance and the way the insurance market operates.
Experience in litigation.
Perfect knowledge of English, Dutch and French (spoken and written, including ability to draft contracts in such languages).
Independent and self starter.
